I think some times the perception of females in romance books is that they are weak, needy and let the men walk all over them. There are some romance books that statement might be true for, but I tend to be drawn towards the fierce females in romance books. Those females that are feisty, sassy independent women. Those women that could live without the romance, its just an added bonus! Because lets be honest it is really the characters that make a romance and those with fierce females add fun, steamy romances!
I feel like it is also pretty evident that I have a type as these are all some pretty kickass heroines. I do think that you don’t have to be badass, feisty and strong to be a fierce female. There is also those who are the more silent and intelligent that are just as fierce! Here are my Fierce Females in Romance Book Recommendations!

What traits make a fierce female? I think the answers are endless and there are some many correct responses. When I’m reading books there are definitely traits that call to me. In exploring characters that possess those qualities of a fierce female, most of the times I think of those main characters found in books. Recently I read The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson and was immediately drawn to Kiva, the best friend and “sidekick” to the main character, Princess Anthia. There were many reasons why I was drawn […]
I feel like I fall into that category of people that when I am asked who is my favorite fierce female in a book, the answer is always some kickass female that can fight or yield a weapon. Most likely one from a fantasy or urban fantasy story. But I have read quite a few contemporary books this […]
