I created this post a few years ago, you can check out the embarrassing 1st post here! I had done many tags since I have started book blogging and wanted to add to the fun of the season by creating my own! I thought this song was very fitting for a tag and hope everyone enjoys it! I worked really hard trying to come up with categories that fit into each section of the song, its corny and some of it is a stretch, but whatever! If you decide to participate and do this tag I would love for you to leave your link so that I may see the choices you made. I have done this the past few years and I think this year was the easiest to come up with answers!
On the first day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
A Partridge in a Pear Tree : The Partridge Stood Alone In The Pear Tree? What is Your Favorite Stand Alone of 2017?
I feel like I did not read a lot of Stand alone books this year and its hard because the book I want to say could totally be turned into another book, but I am going to use it anyways because as of right now I believe it is a stand alone.
Uncharted by Erin Cashman
On the second day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Two Turtle Doves : Love Is In The Air, Who Is You OTP?
OTPs are always hard for me because I end up shipping characters with myself. I have to say that there were a few this year though that I was rooting for from the beginning. This was a big one for me (this could be seen as a spoiler I guess so stop reading if you havent read Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan
Lei & Wren
On the third day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Three French Hens : In The Spirit Of Threes, What Is The Best Trilogy Your Have Read?
Going off the books I read this year I finished 2 trilogies and out of those 2 the better one was A Wicked Trilogy by Jennifer L. Armentrout!
On the fourth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Four Calling Birds : Since Series Usually Consist of Four or More Books What Is Your Favorite Series?
I finally finished the Marked Men Series by Jay Crownover this year and I adored it! I love all those men so much and wish I knew them all in real life.
On the fifth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Five Golden Rings : One Ring To Rule Them All! Who is Your Favorite Villain/Antagonist?
This is a tough one, I feel like I didnt read a book with a real stand out villain, but I think I am going to have to go with Gwen from Phoenix Fire by SD Grimm
On the sixth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Six Geese a Laying : Creation Is A Beautiful Thing! What is Your Favorite World/World-Building?
I absolutely adored the world in both Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan and Fablehaven by Brandon Mull. I cant pick just one and this is my post so I can do what I want 🙂
On the seventh day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Seven Swans a Swimming: Who Needs Seven Swans When All It Takes Is One Good Animal Sidekick To Make A Hero Rock! Who Is Your Favorite Animal Sidekick?
All of the animals in Wild Magic by Tamora Pierce were the best (also really the only book I read that had animal sidekicks)
On the eighth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Eight Maids a Milking: Milk Is So 18th Century! Which Book or Series Takes Beverages/Food To A Whole New Level?
The food in The Crowns of Croswald by D.E Night really sounded delicious, mostly all the pies!
On the ninth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Nine Ladies Dancing : Dancing is Just One Skill of a Lady! Who is Your Favorite Kickass Female Lead?
I read so many books with great female leads and could list a whole bunch but I will pick just one- Bring Me Their Hearts by Sara Wolf
On the tenth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Ten Lords a Leaping: Leaping Lords? How About Who Is Your Favorite Leading Lad?
I feel like the majority of the books I read this year focused mostly on females unless they were romance/new adult books. I loved the Royal Boys from The Royal series by Erin Watt!
On the eleventh day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Eleven Pipers Piping: Where Would We Be Without Music? What Is Your Favorite Book or Bookish Thing That Deals With Music? (It can be about music, reference music a lot etc.)
This is the only one I do not really have an answer for this year. Leah on the Offbeat by Beck Albertalli is the only one I remember referencing music.
On the twelfth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
12 Drummers Drumming: Drum Roll Please…………………….What Is Your Favorite Read of This Year?
Like any true book lover could pick just one. I will be posting my top reads of 2018 soon! I am going to be splitting it into top 2018 releases and top backlist reads!
I hope you participate in this tag and leave me links to your answers! Happy Holidays!

This tag looks so fun! I may have to do it this week because my mind is already reeling thinking of answers for it!
