Making Up For Monday [6/16]

Hosted by An Avid Reader; A Wannabe Writer

Today’s Question: Is there a book you really enjoyed but are embarrassed to tell people you liked? If so, what is it?

I pretty much own up to all the books I read, especially the ones I like. I usually get more embarrassed about the books I haven’t read yet because they are books that I should have read a long time ago, but even those I still own up to. So I guess my answer is kind of lame and doesn’t give away any hidden secrets or anything.

Are there are books you are embarrassed to own up to liking ? I would love to know so don’t be afraid to share. This is a total NO JUDGEMENT ZONE!

  1. I usually feel like I have to duck my head when I tell people I love Fifty Shades and Twilight. I’m finding more and more people despise those series than love them – but I love them, and I don’t care! 🙂

Those are probably the most controversial series I’ve read to date. I also tell people I’m one of the few who have never read the entire Harry Potter series. I made it halfway through book 3 and threw in the towel. It’s just not for me right now, and who’s to say my tastes may change later down the road. It seems like I go through genre phases every few years and I may revisit HP someday.

  2. I have just recently starting reading Harry Potter for the first time, I also enjoyed Twilight. I thought it was good, I didn’t completely love them but I think with the movies being horrible just added to people hate of them. I also have never read the Fifty Shades and never plan on it, but it just isn’t really my thing.
