Today’s question: Have you ever read a self-help book? If yes, did it actually help?
I feel like the only self-help book that I have read (that I guess would kind of be considered a self-help book) is one I was given when I was younger and it was like a humorous guide to growing up for girls (you know all those great milestones young girls face, their period, growing womanly parts and all haha). I am not sure of the exact title (it was literally when I was like 11 years old). As a “grown-up” now (I guess) I can say that the book did not give away any secret answers to life (that I really want right now, haha) I guess it was probably pretty informative, but it was so long ago I am not really sure what it was even about ( I know it was like stuff about boyfriends, changing into a woman and all the fun stuff that follows that, NOT), but I am sure it was funny! I feel like I need to go out and buy some self-help books about handling being an adult because I just graduated from college and don’t feel prepared for life at all. I think Peter Pan had the right idea about never wanting to grow-up.
So have you read any self-help books? Have any been helpful?
