Today’s Question: Do you enjoy war or battle novels? If so, which is your favorite? If not, why?

I am not quite sure I know what a battle novel is exactly. I have read a few “war” novels and I did enjoy them, but I also liked them for the fact that they were fantasy novels with other things going on and taking place. I do not think I could read a novel that was just solely about a war and the battles. The Seventh Friend by Tim Stead is a recent book I have read and really enjoyed. The country ends up in war and Stead was amazing at writing intense, action packed battle scenes. It also had some awesome fantastical elements and interesting people and cultures. It had animal gods which could control and see through the animal that they were the god of and could also transform into that animal. It has some interesting political elements as well. I think that answered the question. Right?
