Friday Reads [12/19]

Untitled design-11

20174424I am still reading City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett. I am absolutely loving this book! It is so unique and definitely incorporates a lot of religion, political intrigue and mystery. It is a refreshing twist on high fantasy that I can’t believe has so much packed into a 450 page book. I am writing this post Thursday night and I have 50 pages left and I am not sure how much more I will get read so I am almost done! I am also listening to The Eighth Guardian by Meredith McCardle on audiobook! I am actually really enjoying this book and I am just flying through it! I stayed up close to 4 hours 17357347the other night listening to it. I haven’t seen the greatest reviews for it so I was a little nervous, but I also think isn’t talked about enough. It is an action packed time travel book with loads of shocks and twist! Also look at the cover! It is just amazing! I am also very close to being done with this book as well! The next book I plan on picking up as soon as I finish City of Stairs is going to be Splintered by A.G Howard!!!!(much excite) I love Alice in Wonderland, it is my all time favorite book and although I was against reading retellings of it so many people have gone on and on about 12558285how great this book and trilogy are so I just have to pick it up! Other than those books I really need to play catch up on reviews for books I have read recently. So hopefully that is how I will be spending my weekend!

What are your plans for the weekend? Anything fun or exciting happening ? What are you reading/planning on reading? I would love to hear from you!

  1. They all sound awesome!
In Splintered’s defense, it’s not actually a fairytale retelling, it’s just a take on what could’ve happened after the fairytale finished, right? Or am I getting this mixed up with ‘Dorothy Must Die’? =/
