2015 Bookish Bucket List | Update

So I figured since it is almost the end of 2015 I should do an update of my bookish bucket list (although  it is quite depressing). For you who don’t know I took a slight hiatus this year because I was a member of AmeriCorps NCCC (if you would like to know more let me know. I might make a post about it). Its so late in the year so I am not going to change my goals, but there are many I probably( most likely) will not get to.
♠ Read at least 45 books. I have read 19 books so far. That means I have a month to read 26 books 🙁
♠ Complete Anna Karenina. This will be something I hope to get to at some point in my life, but will not be this year.
♠ Keep up with reviews. I am trying really hard to catch up on the ones I did not complete before I left on hiatus and the books I read while I was away. I might just reset and start with the ones I have recently read and not play catch up and just take my losses. It is a lot of work to continuously play catch up.
♠ Read more classics. I have not been able to read any 🙁
♠ Keep my book purchasing to sequels. So far I have stayed true to this for the most part. This past year I have purchased significantly fewer books, but I got a lot from authors/publishers and from free book libraries.
♠ Finish the Harry Potter series.  I am up to the 5th book. I am not sure I will be able to complete this by the end of the year.
♠ Catch up on review books. I really need to get on top of this. I feel bad that I have been sent these book and have yet been able to get to them. I am currently reading one right now.
♠ Figure out a new set-up/blog posts/features. I am currently working/researching on finding new things for my blog to make it more interesting/fun etc.
♠ Read at least three daunting books.  (I am counting this as over 550 pages.) This is something that is going to be near impossible with the time I have left.
♠ Read up all/or a majority of the works by one author. I have a few authors I am starting to work on this for but will not be anywhere near close to finishing by the end of the year.

What are some of your 2015 goals/resolutions? How are you doing so far?

  1. There may not be much time left in the year but I know you can do this!! Aren’t the holidays the best time for reading? Sitting inside a cozy, warm house with a blanket and a hot drink is just the best way to read any book 🙂 You got this!
I’m actually not doing so hot on my Goodreads goal of 150 books (I’ve read and reviewed only 90) but of course that’s because before I can mark books as ‘read’ on Goodreads, I have to post my review too and I’m just SO behind on review writing at the moment! It’s getting to be kind of a problem… but I’m determined to get it all done! Same with my R&R’s that I have yet to read. I feel really bad too, when I don’t have books read and reviewed in a timely manner for authors. I just get so behind sometimes! I’m hoping, though, to finish my list before the year closes!
    Good luck to you!
