2016 Bookish Bucket List | January Update

DECEMBER-2

I have done this the past two years and have been decently successful with it.. This year I have set a lot of goals for myself and really want to throw myself back into the book community and blogging world. The past year off has left me wanting so much from books because I have missed the atmosphere and love of books.

♠ Read at least 50 books. [ I have read 5 books and DNF 1 book so far!]

♠ Finish the Harry Potter series [ I am hoping this can be a thing that happens this year but with recent developments I am not so sure]

♠ Read at least three daunting books. [ I have read 1 so far! The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson]

♠ Keep up with reviews and review copies. [ I am not sure how I am going to be able to do this I am still so far behind from last year]

♠ Keep my book purchasing to sequels. [ I went a little crazy in January, but I do not think I will be buying many books this year so it will be good]

♠ Read More Diversely {5 non-fiction}. [ I have already been diving into LGBQIA books this year! And have a non-fiction book I am dying to pick up]

♠ Revisit My Past [ This hasn’t been a thing yet, but there is time]

♠ Start New Blog Series. [Its a work in progress]

♠ Complete My 2016 Challenges.  This includes completing 10 series, the 30 books of my TBR challenge, at least 5 LGBTQIA books and the 40 books of the Popsugar Reading Challenge! [ I have completed 1 book on my TBR challenge and 1 LGBTQIA book!]

♠ Make New Blogging Friends. [ I am trying!]

What are some of your 2016 goals/resolutions?

  1. I’m with you on keeping up with reviews! I let myself get so behind last year and I have a huge pile of both regular notes and R&R book notes that need reviews to be written! And of course those books I haven’t even gotten to read yet… I’m hoping I’ll be able to finish up my current pile in the first two months of this year so I can open requests back up again! Good luck on all of your goals!

  2. I’m working in my dystopia and goodreads challenge. I’ll read the first book of my horror challenge next month. And I think I’m doing well with review copies (but it could be better). I have also started working in some of my blogging goals which makes me so happy that I know I’ll be able to achieve them! (at least a few!) 😀

  3. I’d like to read at least 52 books this year. I’m also trying to read more diversely, but also to hone in on topics that speak to me where I’m at.

  4. Good luck with all of them! My aim last year was 50 books and I got to 52, so I am challenging myself to read 65 :/
I am desperate to find more diverse books, but like you mentioned, I too have bought too many books last year so I will see how that goes!

  5. In the spirit of making new blogging friends, hi! I’m Eli 😀 I know how hard it can be to keep up with goals, but go for it! And if you’re looking for diversity, Paula Stokes’ Vicarious is amazing.
