2019 Beat The Backlist Challenge

I first did this reading challenge last year. Although I did not do very well with following the books I had included with the initial challenge post, I was able to complete the goal I set for myself of reading 50 backlist books! As I did last year, I have some big goals for myself because I am a firm believer in continuing to push oneself and strive for more. There are some books that have been sitting on my shelves unread forever and those books must feel so sad that I have been neglecting them. I stare at my shelves all the time and look at all the books I have such a strong need to read, but with work, life, procrastination, new books being released and the problem of only being able to read so much at one time, I am never able to get to all the books I want to. One of my biggest book goals next year is to read the books I own and definitely catch up on series I am so far behind on or that I need to read. Beat the Backlist hosted by Novel knight is the perfect challenge. (I do better when I am able to mark off a list so challenges work so well for me) Now I cannot make promises that the books I list are going to be the ones I actually read, but iI have really spent a lot of time putting this together with the hopes that I stick to these specific books. Some of these will look very familiar if you have seen my post from last year. I am again setting the goal of 50 backlist books! I haven’t decided what I want my year goal to be, but with the hopes of tackling the books on my shelf I definitely want to focus more on the backlist and older books!

  • The challenge will run from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
  • Books must be released prior to 2019 to count for this challenge.
