A To Z Bookish Survey!

Sept-2

This was created by Perpetual Page Turner.

AUTHOR YOU’VE READ THE MOST BOOKS FROM:

Laura Ingalls Wilder – The Little House on the Prairie Series (9)

BEST SEQUEL EVER:

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer (for now)

CURRENTLY READING:

The Girl and the Clockwork Cat by Nikki McCormack
Shovel Ready by Adam Sternbergh
Out of Breath by Rebecca Donovan
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

….oops

DRINK OF CHOICE WHILE READING:

I am usually not drinking anything but if I am its coffee or iced tea

E-READER OR PHYSICAL BOOK?

I will always be a die hard physical book fan, but I have recently gotten an e-reader and find it quite useful.

FICTIONAL CHARACTER YOU PROBABLY WOULD HAVE ACTUALLY DATED IN HIGH SCHOOL:

This is a really tough question, there are so many. But I think the ultimate would be Wolf from Scarlet by Marissa Meyer or Evan Matthews from the Breathing series by Rebecca Donovan

GLAD YOU GAVE THIS BOOK A CHANCE:

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch- I cannot even begin to explain how much I love this book and how I am so happy I found it and picked it up. It is in my top five read this year for sure!

HIDDEN GEM BOOK:

The Seventh Friend by Tim Stead (check out my review!)

IMPORTANT MOMENT IN YOUR READING LIFE:

Creating my blog and joining the online book community

JUST FINISHED:

The last book I finished was Barely Breathing by Rebecca Donovan

KINDS OF BOOKS YOU WON’T READ:

I find I have a hard time reading non-fiction, but its not like I won’t give them a chance.

LONGEST BOOK YOU’VE READ:

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch (722 pages) but I am hoping this will chance soon!

MAJOR BOOK HANGOVER BECAUSE OF:

The Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead- It was a tough one to get over and I need to start the bloodline series very soon

NUMBER OF BOOKCASES YOU OWN:

3 but I have books all over the place

ONE BOOK YOU HAVE READ MULTIPLE TIMES:

There are a few! The Giver by Lois Lowry (4) To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee (2) Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson (3) Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder (too many times to count)

PREFERRED PLACE TO READ:

My bed, the couch or the recliner

QUOTE THAT INSPIRES YOU/GIVES YOU ALL THE FEELS FROM A BOOK YOU’VE READ:

“Not all those who wander are lost.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

I just love this quote so much!

READING REGRET:

Not reading much while I was in college.

SERIES YOU STARTED AND NEED TO FINISH(ALL BOOKS ARE OUT IN SERIES):

This is a joke. I am like the queen of starting series.

Harry Potter (I am on the 4th book)
Modern Faerie Tale Trilogy by Holly Black (I have 2nd & 3rd to read)
The Program Duology by Suzanne Young (I just have the sequel to read)
The Giver Quartet by Lois Lowry ( I just have the last one to read)

THREE OF YOUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE BOOKS:

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
Looking For Alaska by John Green
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

UNAPOLOGETIC FANGIRL FOR:

All my fictional boyfriends. I think I obsess over them more than any one single book.

VERY EXCITED FOR THIS RELEASE MORE THAN ALL THE OTHERS:

In the next few months I have to say I am excited for How We Fall by Kate Brauning to come out so I can own the finished copy, but I guess that is kind of cheating since I have already read it so I guess Half The World by Joe Abercrombie!

WORST BOOKISH HABIT:

Buying too many books when I already have a huge TBR pile and requesting/accepting to review too many books at once than getting overwhelmed.

X MARKS THE SPOT: START AT THE TOP LEFT OF YOUR SHELF AND PICK THE 27TH BOOK:

Doctor Sleep by Stephen King

YOUR LATEST BOOK PURCHASE:

Doon by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon & Splintered by A.G Howard

ZZZ-SNATCHER BOOK (LAST BOOK THAT KEPT YOU UP WAY LATE):

Unfairest of Them All by Shannon Hale

If you decide to do this I would love for you to leave your link so I can see your answers!
