I was immediately drawn to Kiva, the best friend and “sidekick” to the main character, Princess Anthia. There were many reasons why I was drawn to her, and although I think Josephson really tried to highlight her as well, I think Kiva is an under-appreciated fierce female! Kiva is a sharp tongued woman with some witty/sassy comebacks! She is also a huge flirt , that exudes confidence who doesn’t care what others think. And did I mention amazingly skilled with a sword!

She is a brat at times and definitely witty! With her personality she is not always thinking through situations, but her flaws make her fearless at times! Her friendship with Iz it just perfect too!
