Friday Reads | Christmas Weekend!!!

downthebookhole
Since I am working from home today that means the weekend is starting early! It is a 4 day weekend for me and since I am stuck alone all weekend without family I have big plan for myself. I am going to be holing up in my apartment to avoid the cold, reading, working on my blog, watching Christmas movies and eating all my sweets before my new workout/nutrition plan kicks in.  I started reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak at the beginning of the month and I am still not done with it. It will be my first time reading it ( I know how is that possible). I am more than half way done with it and I WILL FINISH IT this weekend! (I have been saying that for the past few weekends, but I mean it this time) To sound like a broken record I will be picking up Seven Days of Us by Francesca Hornak afterwards. I am a little nervous for this one because I am not huge on Adult Contemporary, but I know it is about the holidays and I am hoping it will be a fun holiday family drama! I am also listening to Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. With the movie coming out and everyone talking about it I thought it was about time that I pick it up. I am out of audiobook borrows until next month so once I finish it this weekend, I might try and continue with making my way through The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern now that I also own the physical copy. I have also really been in the mood for some New Adult and have a few different options of ones I want to get to. I really just have been in the mood to do a ton of reading so I am hoping to get some done this weekend. I am thinking of doing a Christmas Eve Read-A-Thon!

What are you reading this weekend?

  1. You have an amazing list of books lined up for this weekend! I loved The Book Thief so much…but get your tissues ready. I’m so excited for the Love, Simon movie, I hope it’s a good adaptation. 🙂
