Friday Reads | Life Interferences and Fall Reading

I do not know what has been up with me lately, but I haven’t read much this past week. I want to read a lot this weekend. I am not sure if that is going to happen because I have a lot of things to do and need to get myself back to the gym because I have not had time to go all week. I started Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman. I received this book soon after it was published and I do not know why I have waited so long to pick it up. Besides having a  gorgeous cover, the fact that it is a western young adult novel has me so intrigued. It is also on my list of books I wanted to read this fall!  I also started listening to The Nest by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney. I am not too sure on the details of what this is about, but I have heard good things about it and I am trying to incorporate more adult fiction into my reading. I have found that it is so much easier for me to listen to contemporary and historical fiction novels because there is not as much going on. I attempted to start listening to The Bone Witch by Ren Chupeco, but there was just too much going on that I was not totally focused. Well I am hoping to get lots of reading done this weekend, along with laundry, cleaning and making it to the gym! Wish me luck!
