Friday Reads {one day late} | Lazy Weekend Plans

downthebookhole
So this is coming a day late, oops. I was quite busy yesterday and didn’t get a chance to write a post (mostly due to the fact that my computer was dead).I am in the middle of a couple different books, which should be of no surprise to anyone who has read my posts before. Last weekend at the pool I started Turtles All The Way Down by John Green. Now if you have seen any of my reviews/posts that I have written about John Green before, I find a lot of his characters in the books pretentious and acting/speaking out of their age. With that being said Looking For Alaska by John Green is one of my favorite books. So I am giving TATWD a chance and so far I am enjoying it and love that their is a mystery type story line taking place. I am also continuing on with my Jay Crownover binge (its my goal to read all the books she has published by the end of this year) by listening to the audiobook of Charged, the second book in the Saints of Denver series, which is a spin off series of the Marked Men Series.
In other exciting news I have been working on beta reading a book written by a friend from the book community. I am about a third of the way through and hoping to get a lot of it read this weekend so I can give some feedback in order to help her with her journey to publishing her book!
After finishing these books I hope to continue on with the Saints of Denver series by listening to the audiobook of Riveted by Jay Crownover. I also really want to pick up The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken before the movie comes out on Aug 3rd. I know what you are thinking, I cannot believe I haven’t read this book or the rest of the trilogy yet either.

What are you reading this weekend?
