Friday Reads | Weekend Edition

I forgot to do this and post it yesterday so I figured I would play catch up. I have been so busy lately and really haven’t had much time to dedicate to reading. This has caused me to be very upset and I think has created a slump of sorts. Every time I pick up a book I start thinking about all the other things I have to do, which I hate. I read to relax and destress. I need to start carving out more time in the day regardless of what else I have to do. I am stuck alone in a hotel this weekend with no vehicle and nothing to do so what a 24331115better time to dedicate to reading and my blog. I really want to complete my current read which is After Alice by Gregory Maguire. If you do not already know, I am obsessed with Alice in Wonderland so I am really hoping I enjoy this book.

Have you read this book? What are you reading this weekend?

  1. I really need to read Gregory Maguire’s work one of these days. I tried Wicked, but I think I was expecting the musical version of the story and so never quite hit it off with the book. This one looks interesting! I hope you enjoy it! This weekend, I’m reading Nevernight by Jay Kristoff. 😀
