JUNE 2014 TBR

I didn’t read nearly as many books in May as I was hoping and only read one book from my May TBR List. With that being said I was very hesitant to create a list for June. I decided to finally do it so those who want to know will be able to see what I plan on reading and also I have some makeshift list of what I would like to read to help me prioritize. I am not going to make promises that I will follow this list because I have already proved I am not very good at that. If there are any books you would like me to read and review please let me know!

June TBR

1. Guardian by Alex London

(This is one of my most anticipated books of the year and I also already started reading it!)

2. Mortal Danger by Ann Aguirre

(I received this as an e-arc from netgalley and it is about to expire so I need to read it really soon and I am really looking forward to reading it! [I also have a few other e-arcs that will be expiring soon, but sadly I don’t think I will be able to get to all of them] )

3. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

(I finally own them! I also will be participating in the #SummerofSpells being hosted by some others in the book community on twitter, which is a Harry Potter read-a-long in June! So I will probably try and get to a few others in the series this month as well)

4. Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch

( I need this in my life. I have been waiting every since I finished the first book in the Gentleman Bastard series, The Lies of Locke Lamora, back in March for some time to be able to read this. I absolutely fell in love with the first book and I need to be back in that world and continue with the story! I also pre-ordered the third book and it is being released in July (that is the version that will match my other one. It is technically already out in the world)

5. Adaptation by Malinda Lo

(This was recommended to me not to long ago and I really want to be able to get to it! )

6. Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

(This was also on my list for May and I never got to it. I own the whole series and really want to finish it and continue with the spin off series that just had its first book released, Dangerous Creatures! )

7. One Realm Beyond by Donita K. Paul

(I received this book to review for Booklook Bloggers and I got it awhile ago and should really get to it this month. It sound really interesting and I can’t wait to read it.)

That is quite a large list and I am sure it will change and there is a possibility I will read more books than that. I also really want to read a classic this month as well as maybe a non-fiction book. There are so many fantasy books I want to read, but they are some chunky books, so we will see. I also hope to make some progress in Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. I am about halfway through it and I have been reading it forever. I feel like I need to write down an outline of what I have read so far so I know what is going on. For now that is it though! Happy June reading!

What are you planning on reading this month?

  1. I love that you plan out your reads for the month. I’m a mood reader and my TBR changes almost daily – I just never know what I’m going to be in the mood to read. I usually can’t plan any books out past a week.

    1. I usually am a mood reader too, but there are so many books that I want to read so I figured the only way I could actually not be juggling 20 books at a time was to make a TBR!

      1. It’s a great idea – I wish I could do that and stick to it. I’m already trying to plan out my next book and I can’t decide between about 6 different options. I’m horrible! I want to read everything all at once.

        1. I feel that same way right now especially since its summer and there are so many books I have been putting off until summer when I have time and now I just want to read them all right now!
