One of the fun things I think to do at the end of the year is reflect on the good things that happened or I came away with from the year. Knowing 2020 was a rough year for everyone, some of the bright spots in my year were the discoveries I made. I mainly just talk books on my blog, but share more life stuff on twitter and instagram. So I wanted to bring in some life stuff along with my bookish stuff to share some of the fun and amazing products/things, my new discoveries of 2020!
Trade Coffee
If you are new around here, I am a bit of a coffee addict. I love trying new coffee shops and local brews. With the pandemic it has limited my exploration of new coffee. So I was looking for a way I could mix it up at home with my coffee. The local grocery stores carry the typical coffee brands and I wanted something different. I also didn’t want to spend a large amount of money since I was working on my budget this year.
I love that you take a quiz and it provides you with options of which ones you should get. Ultimately you get to select from their whole stock of product! I have been loving trying different kinds and getting them from all over the country! They are roasted fresh before shipping which is so nice! You get to determine the frequency of your shipment. For me living along one will last me about 2-3 weeks! I pay $14.95 per coffee with free shipping! Which may seem like a lot but thats only like 2.5 coffees from starbucks, so its quite the deal!
So if you too love coffee and want to try some new kinds and flavors and have it arrive right to your door check out Trade Coffee!

Clever Fox Budget Planner
I took advantage of this year to really work on my budget and becoming better with my saving/money. I looked around for awhile for tools and resources that were going to help me with that. Being a planner at heart I landed on the Clever Fox Budget Planner! They have a ton of different styles and versions. I used the Budget Planner, but just bought Budget Book 2.0 for 2021. I am interested to see how this version will work for 2021. It had some different elements that I liked and wanted to try out. But I think I am really going to miss the original one. It comes in all sorts of fun colors and has some stickers! It also has a tips and how to page, which is really helpful! In my opinion it is pretty inexpensive, the Budget Planner is only $19.99!
If you are trying to work on your debt or savings, I would recommend checking it out!
SCRIBD
Now Scribd and I have a love hate relationship. I had heard people in the book community talking about it and it had a trial period. I was happy to find that there were audiobooks I wasn’t able to get from my library. There were so many new released books on there and it has both audiobooks and ebooks. I like the speed options better than the overdrive app as well.
Now the one problem I have with Scribd is that after a few days in the month a bunch of books go “available soon”. That means you aren’t able to borrow them for a month. I know they explain that it’s all based on the cost, popularity etc. I feel like for me all the books I have save become available and then I listen to one and they all go back to “available soon”. Now there are other books to listen to and read, but not that ones I specifically have saved to read. Which become quite frustrating since I am paying monthly. So with that being said, it does have a lot of books and in my opinion is better option then audible because you pay $9.99 plus tax a month.
So if you don’t have access to a library or want a cheaper alternative to Audible check out Scribd! Try free for 30 days!
Fuglybarbie
This is an etsy shop! I had seen them around with some of the romance readers/youtubers I follow and checked them out. I love all of their products and have been so indecisive that I haven’t actually bought anything yet. For me the style of the products are very 80/90s and I am so here for it! They have everything from shirts, sweaters, mugs, stickers and more ! There are also products from so many different tv shows/movies that are so perfect! My bestie is obsessed with Billy from Stranger Things and recently bought a mug with his face on it and she loves it!
If you like a good retro look and enjoy cult/pop culture you need to check out Fuglybarbie’s shop!
Ebay Mystery Book Boxes
I feel like this was a trend this summer in the book community, specifically in the romance realm! I saw some booktubers unboxing some mystery boxes from ebay with Historical Romance books. As someone who doesn’t really read historicals, but wanting to give it a change I thought this was the perfect way to get some to start with! I included some things I was interested in received topic wise and was happily surprised! I thought for 20 books it was quite a deal when I only spent $28 ish including shipping!

Did you make any great discoveries this year? Have you used or bought any of these?
