STONE COLD TOUCH BY JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT
Genre: YA (almost NA) Paranormal Romance
“This was better than looking through Tumblr posts of hot guys.”
-Jennifer L. Armentrout, Stone Cold Touch
Series: The Dark Elements
White Hot Kiss (#1 in The Dark Elements)
Bitter Sweet Love (#1.5 in The Dark Elements)

Synopsis:
Every touch has its price
Layla Shaw is trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life—no easy task for a seventeen-year-old who’s pretty sure things can’t get worse. Her impossibly gorgeous best friend, Zayne, is forever off-limits thanks to the mysterious powers of her soul-stealing kiss. The Warden clan that has always protected her is suddenly keeping dangerous secrets. And she can barely think about Roth, the wickedly hot demon prince who understood her in ways no one else could.

But sometimes rock bottom is only the beginning. Because suddenly Layla’s powers begin to evolve, and she’s offered a tantalizing taste of what has always been forbidden. Then, when she least expects it, Roth returns, bringing news that could change her world forever. She’s finally getting what she always wanted, but with hell literally breaking loose and the body count adding up, the price may be higher than Layla is willing to pay…[Goodreads]

review

*Warning this is the second book in the sequel and may contain spoilers for book one*

I have been staring at this post for the good part of 2 weeks. I just personally feel like I cannot manage to write a coherent review for this book because of all the feels. If I were to try and write a review for this it would most likely end up just gushing about my love for ROTH! I also feel like my review would give too much away because I just want to basically discuss this book, but thats not helpful to people who haven’t read it yet. So I will try to do my best to shortly sum up my thoughts on this book!

I absolutely love Jennifer L. Armentrout’s writing. It is youthful and the dialogue is sassy and true to teenagers! I do not at all think that this book fell into the second book syndrome category. Although I did not like it as much as the first one because of the lack of Roth (I am not that much of a Zayne fan). There were some exciting twists and shocking moments. There was also a load of some great swoon worthy moments!

Layla really shows some growth and is become a strong female lead (not that she wasn’t before this book). Bambi and the hell kittens make a return as well as Layla’s awesome spunky friends! The book was fast paced and gripping. It had me on the edge of my seat (well that is until I accidentally saw the last page and ruined it for myself) and wanting more! I cannot wait to find out what happens in the third and final book. I also heard that Thumper makes an appearance and I can’t wait.

Overall I am sorry I could not write up a better review, but this as well as the previous book are really worth the read if you are fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout, paranormal romance and/or swoony men !

TEAM ROTH!!!
