Interview with Adrianna

Top three things readers need to know about the book?

It’s an arranged marriage romance

It’s filled with smut 😉

It’s angsty but filled with sarcasm lots of fun banter.

Who or what was your inspiration for becoming a writer? How long have you been writing?

I’ve just always had ideas for stories floating around in my head since I was pretty young. But it never occurred to be that I could actually become a writer. It always felt like a dream too far out of my reach. But when my son was born and I became a stay-at-home mom, I needed something that was just for me. So I just started writing and now I get to call myself an author!

If your book was to be turned into a movie who would you cast as your leads?

That’s a tough one! I’d have to say Camila Mendes and Miles Teller. I just really love them both as actors and they both served as a bit of inspiration for my characters.

What was the hardest part in self-publishing?

Definitely knowing when the book was “done.” I really had to trust my own instincts, because I’m doing this alone. Of course I have friends I can go to for input. But ultimately I had to decide when the story was ready. It was tough knowing when to stop editing haha.

In five words, how would you describe Align Ourselves?

Angsty, sexy, sweet. Sarcastic, fun!

What’s on your playlist? Does the music go with your book?

Align Ourselves actually has a dedicated playlist!

War of Hearts by Ruelle inspired the story a lot!

What are some books you would recommend for people who enjoy Align Ourselves?

This is always a tough question for me to answer because I feel like my book could never compare to someone else’s amazing work.

But I will list two books that really inspired me to take the plunge to write this story.

A Heart of Blood and Ashes by Milla Vane and Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon. And yes I’m talking about the alien romance series! I read the entire thing last year, and it just helped me be less afraid to write what felt good to me.
