Favorite Quotes from Books I’ve Read in 2019 | Part 2

One of my favorite things about books are the quotes you find hidden between the pages that capture the essence of the story and the heart of the author. They are words crafted by someone laying it all out on the line, sharing the inner workings of their mind and its like a small window into their life because those words are their own.

“Rage a worthy opponent and reason incapable of winning a war”

– Mirrorbound , Monica Sanz

” Be Brave. Be Angry. Don’t Trust Anyone.”

-Dorothy Must Die, Danielle Paige

” Some people have evil inside them, but that’s what God is for, to fix them when they can’t fix themselves”

– Merciless, Danielle Vega

” Things don’t always start out the way we want to. It’s how they end that’s important.”

-King, T.M Frazier

” Most people wanted to escape. Get out of their heads. Out of their lives. Stories are the easiest way to do that.”

-Truthwitch, Susan Dennard

“How courageous can a mouse be when it faces a wolf tearing mice apart?”

-Find Me Their Bones, Sara Wolf

” There are no such thing as living happily ever after- theres only living. We make the choice to do it happily.”

-Hunted, Meagan Spooner

” Waiting for the sun to set, monsters were real and they were always hungry.”

-Queen Takes Knight, Joely Sue Burkhart

” Sometimes strength rested not in resistance, but in the release of arms against a foe of one’s own creation.”

– Consumed, J.R Ward

” But I do know that living in fear of what might happen prevents us from enjoying what we have today.”

-Barbarian’s Lover, Ruby Dixon

“Emotions aren’t convenient pieces of jewelry you can put on and take off whenever you want to.”

-Find Me Their Bones, Sara Wolf

” I wasn’t wrong to think our lives the story. I was simply wrong about which genre we belong to.”

– Wild and Crooked, Leah Thomas
