DARK CHOCOLATE: A book that covers a dark topic. (abuse, domestic violence, rape, loneliness, bullying, death etc):
Laurie Halse Anderson has written two amazing books and ones in my favorites lists that cover the topic of dark elements. Wintergirls was an amazing book and I love the style and way it was written in. I always feel weird saying this is one of my favorite books because it is about an eating disorder. I just feel that with the world we live in so many young girls are pressured to look a certain way and I believe everyone is beautiful just the way they are and there is no need to conform.
WHITE CHOCOLATE: Your favorite light hearted/humorous read:
This is a very difficult category for me to think of a book to fill it. I do not read many books that are considered “humor”. Whenever I think of lighthearted it makes me think of contemporary books. I was going to put a Sarah Dessen book, but I haven’t read one since early high school and can’t remember any of them or what they were about. So I am going to go with a recent read that was short, sweet and had its moments or funny witty banter.
MILK CHOCOLATE: A Book that Has a Lot of Hype that You’re Dying to Read:
I spend too much time watching booktube videos and surfing through book blogs that it is hard to pick just one. But I had to pick one that I recently got and having been dying to read.
With the recent release of the third and final book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy this book has been talked about a lot and present in much of the book community.
CHOCOLATE WITH A CARAMEL CENTER: Name a book that made you feel all gooey in the middle while you were reading it
This book… Its so romantic and makes you jealous that you don’t have a love like Noah and Allie. Although it is sad at times you cannot help but feel all gooey inside with the relationship that they share.
WAFER FREE KIT KAT: Name a Book That Surprised You Lately
From the cover of this I didn’t really know what to expect. Even after reading the the blurb on the back I was still unsure about it. I am a huge fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout now! I absolutely loved this book and the world that was created. And it definitely helps that there are some wonderfully swoon worthy men in this book!
SNICKERS: A Book That You Are Going Nuts About:
Its been a little bit since I have read a book that I went nuts about, so I have to say that the last one (series) that I went nuts about was the Vampire Academy Series.
I think this series is absolutely amazing and done so well. There are so many plot twists and great characters. I can’t wait to start reading the Bloodline series by Richelle Mead and continue on the adventure of the Vampire Academy world.
HOT CHOCOLATE WITH CREAM AND MARSHMALLOWS: What Book Would You Turn to for a Comforting Read?
I feel like every post I have seen about the Chocolate tag Harry Potter has been used for this category. Since I have yet to read the series that will not be my answer. Instead I am going with a book/series that has been one of my favorites since childhood and one I have read too many times to count.
BOX OF CHOCOLATES: What series have you read that you feel has a wide variety and a little something for everyone?
The Song of the Lioness Series contains everything. It has a strong female lead who pretends to be a boy. It has adventures, magic, friendships, romance, and fights…what more could you ask for in a book series!
