O.W.L.S 2020 Readathon | Weekend Update

It has been a crazy week and a half of April already! If you know nothing about the O.W.L.S Readathon you can check out my O.W.L.S Readathon TBR post. I thought since it has already been 10 days I would do a weekend check in and update of my progress on my O.W.L.S.

CharmsLumos Maxima: White Cover

A Short History of a Girl Next Door by Jared Reck

I found this book to be heartbreaking and beautiful. It was written with so much humor and relatable. Matt was a fantastic character that I feel in love with and shared his pain. The ending brought upon a light of hope that I think we all need to be reminded about.

PotionsShrinking Solution: Book Under 150 pages

It Calls Me- An Anthology by Katie Coughran

I ended up reading a different book for this challenge. I read Gail’s Family by Ruby Dixon which is the fourth book/novella in the Icehome series. This was an adorable story and one I have been waiting for since we first got introduced to Gail. It was fun to get an older womans perspective on this situation that all these human woman have found themselves in.

TransfigurationAnimagus Lecture: Book/Series That Includes Shapeshifting

The Demon Prince by Ann Aguirre

I also chose another book for this prompt. I had a review copy of Shift Out Of Luck by Abigail Owen, which is about to wolf shifters. It is the second book in a new series full of paranormal beings! This is an enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience paranormal romance! It has a great fierce and sassy female character and a male who is just too great!

This Weekend Reading Plans

HerbologyMimbulus Mimbletonia: Title Starts With a M

Moonlight Sins by Jennifer L Armentrout

I just started this book this weekend and I am hoping to make some good progress if not finish it! I am not very far in, but so far I am intrigued. Also very interested to in reading an adult JLA book!

ArithmancyMagical qualities of number 2: balance opposites – read something outside your favorite genre

We Unleash the Merciless Storm by Tehlor Kay Mejia

This book I am reading as a part of the additional animagus training. It is a YA Fantasy book that has a f/f romance. It is the second book in the series. I enjoyed the first one a lot and unsure of my feelings so far of this one but I am only 40% in so far.

Are you participating in the O.W.L.s 2020 Readathon ? If so what career path are you choosing? What books are on your TBR?

I’ve been in the weird place of such conflicting reading feelings. I have review books and ARCs on my nightstand needing to be read. Books that I have committed to and made an agreement to read/review in exchange for a copy of the book. I have e-arcs that need to be read and reviewed so I do not […]

It has been a strange first week of the new year. I feel like I have been in a haze all week. Although I enjoyed the extra days off from work the rest of the work week seemed to drag on forever and I have been so exhausted. I was not able to get much reading accomplished because […]
