6547258I am still making my way through The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. I am really enjoying the book and I want to be able to power through and finish it, but I have been ill all week and struggle with reading. This book is absolutely amazing and is so beautifully woven together. I am reading this book alongside some people on twitter which has been really enjoyable. It is fun to have some people to talk to as I read through the book. I am also currently reading Scardust by Suzanne van Rooyen which is set to be published Feb. 8th. It is a LGBTQIA New Adult, Sci-fi/paranormal book. So far it is quite interesting and a little unusual. I am intrigued to25459559 see where it goes and to get out a review so all of you can see what I think and check it out too!

24744200All I have been wanting to do is read lately, but in such a weird reading mood that I am in between like four different books. I am still listening to the second book in the Broken trilogy by Kimberly Lauren, Beautiful Broken Mess on audiobook! This is a new adult trilogy focused on a character from the first book! I am almost done with it and can’t wait to get to the last book in the trilogy! I am currently half way through The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. I am 6547258reading this along with a group of people on twitter. I have really been wanting to get back into epic fantasy books, but they are intimidating so it is nice to be able to read it with other for encouragement and support! I am enjoying it so far, but I am still a little hesitant about it. For my blogger book club- Rambling Down The Book Hole I am reading the first book in Jay Crownover’s new series Saints of Denver, BuiltFor the 25197119last one I am in the middle of it is a graphic novel, The Wicked + The Divine. This is my first graphic novel that my best friend got me because she is trying to get me into them. It is something really new to me and I am not sure how I feel about them. I feel like it is one I will have to reread to make sure I fully understand it.

17455817I have been a little busy lately and by busy I mean I have fallen down the dangerous black hole that is netflix. The past year I didn’t have much time to watch television so I have been catching up on all of my shows. I have also begun preparing life and my blog for 2016, which is not an easy task. I am currently juggling a few books. I started Every Last Breath by Jennifer L. Armentrout the final book in the Dark Elements Trilogy. I had to pick this book up because it was getting to that point where I was forgetting what had happened in the previous books. After jumping back into I have remembered why I loved these books so much. I am excited to see how this will end and to see who Layla with pick!25733923 I also received Lights Out by Ted Koppel from Blogging For Books in return for an honest book review. I have a went to school for International Studies and World Politics so it should come as no surprise that I am interested in politics. Terrorism is an area that really intrigues me and I love learning more about it. The idea of a cyberattack on the United States and what the consequences of that would mean for our society are a little scary to think about. So far Koppel has been providing a vivid and intense picture of likely aftermath of a cyberattack on the U.S electrical grid.

I am currently reading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. I am reading this book along with Samantha @ Rambling Book Junkie and we are reading this as our book of the month for our Rambling Down The Book Hole Blogger Book Club! So far I am really enjoying this book and I cant believe I have waited this long to pick up a book by Sarah J. Maas. I am also listening to Sea of Stars by Amy A. Bartol, which is the second book in the Kricket series. I just finished listening to the first book in this series as an audiobook and I was really impressed and surprised by it. It is a YA science fiction about a girl who is taken back to her home by some soldiers, only her home is this other plant called Ethar! 20977124

I am a little over half way through The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson. I am so happy that I picked it up. It was exactly what I needed and I am loving Elisa! I am hoping the binge the whole trilogy. I love the way that there is courtly intrigue and political strategy weaved through this YA fantasy! I am also listening to Under Different Stars by Amy. A Bartol. This book has caught me off guard and has completely surprised me. I picked it just so that I could have an audiobook to listen to when I was busy doing stuff and unable to read a physical book. 19504931It is about a girl who finds out she is from another planet and has been captured to be taken back to her home planet. I do not know what else to say about it right now, but I am really enjoying it!. Hopefully I will also be able to pick up The Crown of Embers by Rae Carson.

My first Friday Reads being back home and back to regular reading! I have been all over with my reading lately and I am working on multiple different books at the current moment. While I was gone I got really behind on reviews so that is my first priority. I just started The Alchemist’s Daughter by Mary Lawrence last night. This is one that was sent to me by the author and I have put it off too long. I am really excited to dive into this book! I am also listening to Under Different Stars by Amy A. Bartol on audible. It is something different and I am really hoping to enjoy it.

Volition Amazon (1)Well this might be my last Friday Reads post for awhile (although I will be updating my Twitter). I am trying to finish up all my reading this weekend so that I can start anew for when I leave on my trip. I am currently re-reading Volition by Lily Paradis (the ARC). I was selected and got the opportunity to beta read this book. It is an awesome experience to read the book at the steps of its publication. I know the author makes the comment that this book is not for everyone, but I definitely can relate to the main character Tate in aspects of her life. I love the darker tones to this book and it is loaded with emotions and feels. I think it is becoming one of my favorite books. Reading it again just makes me love it that much more and I am having a hard time putting it down. I also borrowed Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K Rowling as an audiobook from the library. This is my first time reading the series and I will have so traveling and stuff so I thought this was a good audiobook to pick up! In regards to what ebook I will be starting from my 100+ books on my kindle is a hard decision. There are a few a have in mind. I really want to start The 100 by Kass Morgan or maybe Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut or to read Lily Paradis’s other book Ignite. There are just so many choices.

13324841Since I will be leaving soon (if you haven’t seen my post about my hiatus check it out here) I have been so busy and haven’t had much time for reading. I am currently listening to Son by Lois Lowry on audiobook. I read the first three books in the Giver Quartet last year and would really like to finish off the series. I am enjoying the book and loving that it is focusing on telling more of the story from The Giver by Lois Lowry. The other book I might start and will be the last book I might be able to finish before I leave and if not I have the ebook of it too so it will be the first one I finish after I leave is The Martian by 18007564Andy Weir. I received this book for review from Blogging for Books and I am really excited to get to this book because I have heard fabulous things about it! I have really been trying to get into more Science Fiction and think this is a perfect book to start with!

Untitled design-1118044277This week happened to be a lot busier than I thought and I wasn’t able to get much reading done. I watched a lot of movies and went to the bookstore quite a few times! I also made my family have a Twilight movie marathon. (Don’t ask me why. It just happened) I am almost done with both the books I am currently reading and for sure plan to finish them today! I am about 100 pages away from finishing The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma. It is an Arc copy that has a publication date of March 24, 2015. I am also almost done listening to Tina Fey’s Bossypants on audiobook. I am loving it! I think not only is this humorous, but is such a good piece of work that empowers women and screams girl power! Listening to Tina Fey make the book that much better! After I complete those two books I will picking up either The Martian by Andy Weir or I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios. I received The Martian for review and have heard amazing things about it and really want to start reading more science fiction. I’ll Meet You There I received an ARC copy along with a handful of others and would like to at least get to one before I leave. I also would love to read it before it is published to let others know more about the book!
