I don’t even know where to begin with this post. I couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion to what has now become one of my all time favorite series. It was action packed, had many twists that I did not expect. I thought it tied up the series nicely. The whole time I was reading this I was caught off guard by so many things that I thought I figured out, but I was so WRONG. Rose had so much development and I really liked where she ended up and the girl she had become.

*Spoiler Warning* (I was going to try and not to have any, but I just can’t manage that I too many things to say)

The ending was nice, but I am also a cynical person and thought it was too soft. I was hoping for so much more after the build up. The whole book of trying to solve who murdered the Queen and the search for the other Dragomir. I felt like the ending just happened too quickly. As much as I am happy that Rose survived, I kind of like the idea of her dying. There was this whole lead up with Rose forgiving herself and talking about all this super wise stuff to Dimitri.

There was so much growth seen in Rose. She seemed to finally understand her place and role and her dying would have been the true last sacrifice. But I guess if she would have died I would have been super upset. And feel so bad for Dimitri who finally got her back. (I can never be happy). I’ve grown attached to Adrian. But I do believe him and Rose aren’t meant to be together, my heart still breaks for him after everything he did for Rose. I will stop my ranting now.
