This weeks Top Ten Tuesday topic hosted by Broke and Bookish is The Top New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2017. I have read a lot of new to me authors this year, some I really liked and want to read everything they have ever written, others not so much. Many of these authors I have heard about and owned their books but this was the first year I read any of their works.

I discovered Nicola Yoon this year too (“Everything, Everything”) and really enjoyed it! Two authors I’d still like to discover are Kendare Blake and Amy Engel. Glad you discovered some new authors in 2017; here’s to a great 2018. 🙂
I read my first Kendare Blake as well this year but wasn’t a massive fan of Three Dark Crowns. One of my favourite discoveries was Amanda Bouchet, she writes similar heroines to Patricia Briggs from my understand (haven’t read her yet ) in the urban fantasy genre
I enjoyed Amy Engel this year as well. She’s a fabulous author.
I love Patricia Briggs! And I still want to read Blake Crouch, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!
I haven’t read any of these but there are several that I’d like to read in the future!

Cat Winters was a first for me this year too. I read her Odd & True. It wasn’t my kind of book but I did enjoy parts of it. I definitely want to read more of her work.

Amy Engel made my TTT post this week too. I enjoyed reading her novel, The Roanoke Girls.
