This weeks Top Ten Tuesday topic hosted by Broke and Bookish is The Top Ten Read in One Sitting Books. And I choose to go with the best shortest books I have read. Just because some books have fewer pages it does not make the meaning or impact any less important or powerful.
♥ Between The World And Me by Ta- Nehisi Coates
♣ We Should All Be Feminist by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
♣ The Grownup by Gillian Flynn
♣ The Ocean At The End Of The Lane by Neil Gaiman
♣ A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
♣ The Giver by Lois Lowry
What are some of you top short reads?

Ooh, I love A Monster Calls and The Giver. 🙂
The Giver! Yes, short but powerful!

I agree. The Giver was an amazing story. I even like the film adaptation of it that came out a few years ago, although I tend to think of them as two different stories that happened in similar universes because of how many changes the screenwriters made to the original plot.
We Should All Be Feminist caught my attention as well. I’ve read quotes from and interviews with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, but I’ve never actually read one of her books. It’s time for this to change!
Here is my TTT
I should have put We Should All Be Feminists on my list! I just read her newest book- Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions- and it’s amazing too. 😉
My Top Ten Tuesday
I haven’t read her other work but I own Americanah and Half the Sun
The Ocean at the End of the Lane is one of the weirdest things I’ve ever read. All I can really remember is the boy finding a worm in his foot or something. Very odd.
The Grownup was short! I wish it had been longer.
My TTT.
Yes, The Giver is awesome!!
I wasn’t much of a fan of Gaiman’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane. I read it for a book club I had joined.

I haven’t read any of these, but I’d like to read A Monster Calls because I loved the movie!
