Untitled design-9
This weeks Top Ten Tuesday topic hosted by Broke and Bookish is Top Ten Favorite Heroines From Books. I am all about the strong, kickass female characters. I can not remember if I have done a post similar to this, but figured I have read a load of new books that it would be different if I already have.

Rose Hathaway from the Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead

Amanda “Iris” Oberman  from The Eighth Guardian by Meredith McCardle

Ezri Delmastro from Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling

Alanna from The Song of The Lioness Quartet by Tamora Pierce

Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins

Tally Youngblood from The Uglies Series by Scott Westerfeld

Shara Divani from City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett

Tris Prior from the Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth

Alyssa Gardner from the Splintered Trilogy by A.G Howard

Who are some of your favorite heroines?

  1. Katniss, Hermione, and Tris all made my list as well.
And I’m so glad to see that Scott Lynch introduces a strong heroine in Red Seas Under Red Skies. I loved Lies of Locke Lamora, but it was definitely a male-dominated story.

  2. I put Hermione on my list as well! I feel like she’s the heroine that has had the most impact on me in literature, especially because I started reading the Harry Potter series so young. Her strength and independence really stuck with me, and I think it’s so amazing that J.K. Rowling was able to create such an influential character. Anyways, great list! 🙂
