With all the different series on vampires, vampires have gotten a bad name. (Twilight I blame you). Deemed the title of Monsters, many vampires are known for killing humans and drinking their blood, but Richelle Mead introduces a respected world of vampires in which they live alongside humans. Mead took a different and interesting spin on vampire literature. I am not a fan of the first person,but Rose is an absolutely perfect narrator. And it does make an interesting dynamic between Rose and Lissa.

Rose is an amazing character, strong and independent making the perfect heroine. It doesn’t hurt that there are attractive men, the silent and strong, whats better than that. This book really has it all, romance, supernatural, villains, drama and some badass powerful characters.
