An action packed follow up to the first book in the Cosmic Bonds series, Alien Tongues by Chloe Parker. Alien Liaisons is an enemies to lovers, forbidden romance that is filled with all the space steamy moments! Tensions are high between a kickass heroine who is seeking revenge on the person who killed her brother and a man who is a different species and caught between his family and what is right to save the human race.

I enjoyed this one even more than the first. I was nervous at the beginning because things happened kind of fast and I felt like we were still missing a full backstory and a full understanding of the world. We got to see more throughout the story and I loved the descriptions of life on the moon Halla, like the crazy big creatures! I was hooked on the back and forth between Mai and Reza and how they fought the connection the whole time.
The romance was fun because of the tension and their denial throughout the whole book. And the sex scenes were out of this world! Spicy moments of no gravity hook ups alone in a space ship was perfection!
It was a thrill ride, with so much action and fight scenes. Mai is seriously a badass and I was cheering for her the whole time! She was literally able to pull off some amazing things and had me in aware with her prowess.

Overall I thought this was a great second installment in a thrilling, steamy alien romance series. I of course could always do with more world building and history development because it is something that intrigues me. I did think we got more than I was expecting at the beginning throughout the story.
The romance development was well done as it had that fun push and pull, insane chemistry paired with both trying to complete their own agendas and in denial of what was happening between them. If you like the spice and steam, this has some great smoking scenes between Mai and Reza. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and see what happens with the separatist conflict between the humans and Lyrans!
