Bookish Naughty List Blogmas 2021

I ‘ve been doing this tag over the last few years and figured might as well keep the tradition alive and complete the Bookish Naughty List for Blogmas 2021!

The first time I saw this over at Emily’s blog Tumbling into Wonderland Books and was originally created by Jenniely @ A Page of Jenniely

I also did this tag last year and you can see my post here!

Bookish Naughty List

Check off the bookish things that you are guilty of over the past year.

Received an ARC and not reviewed it √

I was more intentional with my ARCs this year and there were only a few I received that were not reviewed and mainly because they were DNFs. I didn’t think it was fair to review a book I didn’t finish.

Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley √

My netgalley ratio is currently at 42%. I didn’t request many books from netgalley this year so I couldn’t mess it up any more this year.

Rated a book on goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)

I never promise a review on goodreads, I know better than that lol

Folded down the page of a book

Never could I do this. I will use anything I need to as a bookmark to avoid it.

Accidentally spilled on a book

I cant say that I remember this happening this year.

DNF a book this year

I DNFd a few books this year because I didn’t want to was my time on something I was not enjoying. Some I came close to finishing, but reading it felt like a chore.

Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it

I definitely am guilty of buying books because they are pretty, but this year I can’t say I bought any solely because it was pretty. I definitely borrowed some audiobooks for this reason but didn’t buy.

Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework)

I use reading as an escape. This past year was rough and when I got overwhelmed or stressed I reached for a book.

Skim read a book √

I did this with a couple books this year. While reading some romance books, I am all for the smut, but sometimes without a strong plot or story line it gets boring.

Completely missed your Goodreads goal

I surpassed my goal early! I am so happy I set a lower goal this year because it allowed me to pick up some books that would take a little longer to read and wasn’t pressured to meet a goal.

Borrowed a book and not returned it

I only really borrow audiobooks and they get taken away from me whether I want them to or not

Broke a book buying ban

I didn’t set any book buying bans for myself this year, but I did really good at not buying a ton. I only spent $200 this year which is so much lower compared in years past.

Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about √

I am the worst. This happens so much and I have so many drafts sitting in my posts.

Wrote in a book you were reading

Not this year, although I have before for school.

Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads

I track them as I read on Goodreads so I have no trouble of forgetting to add read books.

6/15

I was just as naughty as last year! How did you do on the bookish naughty list? Let me know if you participate in Bookish Naughty List Blogmas 2021
