Published: October 20,2020

Genre: Adult Sci-Fi Romance

Source: KindleUnlimited

Series: Starborn Fairy Tales

Synopsis:

Cindi is property of the noble Xu family.
Just one of many human slaves in the galaxy.
Lette is a charming khin prince.
When they meet on the street, neither admit their true identities.

Or their instant spark of attraction.

Time and time again, fate twists them together and that spark becomes a fire.

A fire Cindi’s owner will do anything to douse, including selling Cindi to a much worse owner.

The night of the masquerade ball, Cindi has a choice.

Will she risk her owner’s wrath by telling Lette her true identity? Will he still want her when he learns that she’s a slave impersonating a lady? Or will her fairytale come crashing down around her?

Cindi’s Christmas Prince is a loose interpretation of Cinderella set in space with a handsome, curious, and charming khin prince who will make you swoon. Hot aliens, steam, and a guaranteed HEA.

” All humans are seen as less than other species, but females, in particular, have it hard in space.”

Steamy space take of cinderella with a sexy prince hiding his identity and a human slave playing a role above her station.

I am already a fan of sci-fi/alien romances, but if I was not Aria Starling would make a believer out of me! This Sci-fi romance inspired by Cinderella gave me all the cute romance moments, intriguing and unique intergalactic world and a story so different, but familiar!

” Reading is the one constant in my life since being taken from Earth as a teenager.”

We follow a human girl named Cindi who is a slave/servant to a previously well off Xu family. She travels with them to the planet of Goza to help Vidie prepare for a masquerade ball in which Vidie hopes to win the Prince’s favor and become the next queen.

Cindi while running errands for Vidie, runs into a group of male aliens and is mistaken for a proper lady. Prince Lette is drawn to her and hides his identity while providing her with directions. From there they both are keeping up a facade as they run into each other again.

The romance was adorable, Lette is such a sweet and romantic alien. It also got pretty steamy at times! Cindi was a fun character, she was sassy and really went after what she wanted. She was smart and didn’t let herself just be that damsel in distress without fighting back.

We get some appearances from some other characters from Beauty’s Alien Beast. In which I adored Elle’s meddling!

” I notice that he smells wonderful, like cinnamon and with a sexy hint of wood fire and pine. Almost as if he’s Christmas in male form.”

Overall, I thought the intergalactic world was set up well and will allow for a ton more books in the series. I loved the hints from the original story of Cinderella, but still felt like Starling really made it her own. At times I had forgot that it was a retelling. The romance was sweet and steamy, but didn’t come easy or without some effort. It did have some lying/deceit, but not enough that it bothered me. I loved all the personality this story had! It was full of characters and different alien races. I can’t wait to hopefully see Prince Lette and Cindi more! I think a bunch of the side characters were great as well!

If you enjoy retellings, romance and HEA… you need to check out this quick read!

* This is the first in a series but can be read as a standalone. I read it before book 2, but think you can read them in any order. It just depends on how you like to read your stories. Cindi’s Christmas Prince spoils Beauty’s Alien Beast a little, but since they are retellings you kind of already know what’s going to happen.*
