Current Reading Dilemma

I’ve been in the weird place of such conflicting reading feelings. I have review books and ARCs on my nightstand needing to be read. Books that I have committed to and made an agreement to read/review in exchange for a copy of the book. I have e-arcs that need to be read and reviewed so I do not make my netgalley ratio even worse. But I have been falling down a paranormal romance, MC/bad boy romance hole. I’ve been obsessing and craving all things PNR and steamy adult romance. Of course none of the books I should be reading fit into that category.

Bringing me to my current dilemma of reading decisions and currently reading TBRs. So I’ve come to a conclusion of making the last week of July into a full out immersion of PNR and bad boys. Then I will dedicate my August TBR to be in true August fashion, ARC August! My August TBR will be coming out very shortly so keep an eye out for that. Now onto my current reads and plans for the weekend!

I am currently in the middle of multiple different books in a variety of formats. I am about 40 pages away from finishing one of my most anticipated releases this year, Master of the Phantom Isle by Brandon Mull. This book doesn’t come out until October. I am so blessed to receive this early, I am flying through it and loving what Mull is doing with this story!

I am listening to 2 different audiobooks, both of which are continuations in series I have started recently. First is Yellow Brick War by Danielle Paige, which is a retelling of the Wizard of OZ. This series completely surprised me, it is so fully of sass and a dark twisty version of OZ! The second audiobook is Barbarian Alien by Ruby Dixon, which is part of the Ice Planet Alien Sci-fi Romance series. These are highly entertaining books and full of cheesy/corny lines. But I am adoring the sassy and fierce females and I am so intrigued by these aliens and new planet.

I’ve also started Tyrant by TM Frazier, which is the second book in the King series. I flew through the first book in the series, King by TM Frazier. I got a 3 month deal for Kindle Unlimited and have been storing up all of the ebooks that I want to read. Also I plan on making a post of the KU books I have on my TBR soon! These stories, although slightly problematic and a little disturbing at times, was a book I could not put down. It was filled with complex characters and tons of sass. (If you haven’t seen the pattern I enjoy sharp tongues, sass, at witty banter so much)

Hopefully I can focus long enough to get through some of these books! Maybe I will do some sort of impromptu readathon this weekend. So look out on my social media platforms!
