First Lines | September 2019

I decided that it would be fun to start a new feature; first lines to add the the wrap up of books I read every month. For me most of the time I pick up and look at books in the store it is the first lines that capture my attention and draw me in. It has always been intriguing to me the amount of thought that must go into those first words the author decides to but as the introduction to their work. The first lines are your first impression of the book.” I hadn’t spoken to Whitley Lansing – or any of them- in over a year”
