Friday Reads | Preparing for Read-a-thons & Possible Deployment

downthebookhole
I am participating in The House Cup Reading Challenge which starts on Oct. 15th so I really need to get moving with Night Film by Marisha Pessl. I want to be able to start the read-a-thon off with a brand new book. I am absolutely loving Night Film and can wait to see what happens. It definitely has a dark eerie vibe perfect for the season. It is also the longest book I have read in awhile. I have been crazy busy with work and haven’t had much time to dedicate to reading but its my goal to finish it this weekend. 120 pages left! I haven’t exactly decided which book I am going to pick up first for the read-a-thon, but I am thinking Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. I have the sequel to this book and have had them forever so it would be a good place to start! I am trying to get some reading in and work on some posts before I get deployed through work to assist on the disasters. I could be gone for over a month and that will put me so behind on my reading goal.
What are you reading this weekend?
