When I first heard it announced that Moxie was going to be made into a movie I was so excited! The book was fun and full of some major feminist power! I think we need a little more of that in the world. Girls/Women get put into boxes too much and told what they can and can’t do/ what is acceptable. Ot that the way they dress/behavior is impacting the boys. The messages in this book and movie are important for everyone. It shows boys they can stand up and take support in supporting women rights.

I really enjoyed the movie and thought it was a bunch of fun! I love that actors and thought they were great fits for the roles! It had a lot of diversity and representation of not only people, but situations as well. I think this would have been so much better as a series so that we can expand on each of the characters and dig deeper into the issues. I loved the homage to 90s Riot Grrl! I also like the connection that Vivian made with her mom through the feminist activism.

The movie wasn’t perfect, but is definitely a fun watch, with some humor, fierce characters and some deep messages!
