New To Me Authors 2021

New To Me Authors 2021

It has again been another year of discovering new books and new authors. It was fun as I went to go start this post and look at my picks from last year of those new to me authors I fell in love with in 2020. I continued to explore my reading tastes in 2021 and begun to read books and genres that years ago I would have gone nowhere near. I think that is whats so great about books, as you grow and your tastes change there is always a book out there for you! I’ve expanded on my reading in the romance genre, and also discovered monster romances this year!

But don’t fear I read a ton of fantasy and paranormal books as well! I have to say I read a ton of amazing books this year and there are many authors that didn’t make this list. So here are my newly discovered new to me authors 2021 edition!

New To Me Authors 2021

C.M Nascosta

I literally will read anything Nascosta writes! The monster romances have such a sweet and wholesome element to them while also being filled with some great quality smut! I adore the world she has developed. It has that small town feel, but filled with all types of creatures! I cannot wait for all of the books yet to come! I would say if you are interested in giving monster romance a try to start with Girls Weekend!

C.R Robertson

I was first introduced to Robertson because Curse of Seduction was an entry in a contest I was judging. From the first few pages I was immediately pulled in and flew through the book. I loved the world building and all the different types of paranormal/magically beings. I was also happy to see succubus/incubus because I haven’t read about them in many books. I have now read a total of 4 books by C.R. Robertson in 2021 and hope to read many more in 2022!

Nikki Sloane

I was hearing all about Sloane in the book community as delievering on the smut! I have only read the Filthy Rich American series, but it sure was steamy! So far her books have been great quick sexy reads. I look forward to diving into some more of her published work and can’t wait for more of her stuff to come out.

Chole Parker

Earlier this year Parker reached out to me since I read and love alien romances and asked if I would be interested in reviewing her book Alien Tongues. Of course I couldn’t resist saying yes! I am such a sucker for an alien romance! She creating such an interesting world and I enjoyed to background to the story. I have now read the second book in the series and can’t wait for book 3! I am also so interested in getting to some of her other published works!

Sarah Mensinga

This author reached out to me to review her new YA book Shimmerdark . I was so excited when she did because I follow SPFBO (self published fantasy blog off) and saw she entered this year. I really enjoyed this book and wish more people read/talked about it. It was such a unique and interesting world that was a mix of steampunk and fantasy.

Molly E. Lee

I was sent a copy of Lee’s new book Ember of Night and was immediately intrigued by the cover and synopsis. This was a dark paranormal YA and at times was super sad. While this had a familiar feeling it was an interesting story revolving demons. This has a love interest that reminds me of one of my favorites, Roth from Dark Elements series by JLA. Its definitely going to be a series I continue. I hope Lee keeps publishing books like these.

A.K Wilder

This is a YA fantasy that i feel is so underrated and reminds me of the classics like Tamora Pierce. Crown of Bones is such a great introduction to a new series. The magical system is so amazing, they are able to raise things called phantoms that are like warrior/fighter companions! I loved the travel/quest element that showed so much world building and character development! It is also told in multiple POVs which I felt added so much to this book! It also had an element of tarot which I absolutely adored! I can’t wait for book 2 and more works from Wilder!

Do you have any new to me authors that you have discovered this year?
