Reading My Way Through The SPFBO Winners

Recently, with the encouragement of my bestie, I read The Grey Bastards by Jonathan French! We were chatting about the book and realized that it was a winner of Mark Lawerence’s Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (SPFBO) Contest! I loved the book and I am slightly obsessed! It was everything I love in fantasy, a little dark with some humor and fantastic immersive world building. So I decided I was going to explore the fantasy genre by reading my way through the SPFBO winners!

The winners are listed by the year they won in, exclude 2016 since that was The Grey Bastards by Jonathan French. There also hasn’t been a 2020 winner announced yet that I can find.

Have you read any of these Fantasy books? Do you have any underrated Fantasy recs you think I would like?
