Reflections On TBRs Of The Past | 2014 Edition

Reflections On TBRs Of The Past 2014 Edition

I always find it interesting to look back and see what I was able to complete, what goals I met and how much I set myself up for failure when I was first starting out on my blog. I think it is also interesting to see if my reading taste have changed years later. 2014 was the first full year I really focused and spent time on my blog since I was finishing up college and had more time to dedicate! It’s interesting to see the books on these list and the ones I have actually read and the ones I still own, but remain unread.

I am not going to go into details on all of the books. I’m going to mark off those ones I have read, link to those I have reviews for and let you know my thoughts on the ones that remain unread on my TBR and those I’ve decided are no longer for me. So here are my Reflections on TBRs of the Past 2014 edition!

Reflections On TBRs Of The Past | 2014 Edition

April TBR

Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead

Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead

Touched by Cyn Balog

– I read one book by this author and was sadly disappointed and had no interest to read another

Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence

– This is still a book I have interest in reading, an author I want to read

Born at Midnight by C.C Hunter

– I bought this during the craze of those books that followed Twilight era, I just lost interest and other books that took priority so I unhauled it

The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan

The Dead-Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan

The Forest of Hands and Teeth didn’t live up to my expectations and bored me so I have no interest in continuing with the sequel and unhauled it

May TBR

Obsessed by Jo Gibson

This was the start of my netgalley request spree, I was just so excited to get access to ebooks that I went request happy and not sure if I ever knew what this was about and had other books I much rather read

Curses and Smoke: A Novel of Pompeii by Vicky Alvear Shecter

Another netgalley request craze causality

The Girl From The Well by Rin Chupeco

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

I still have a plan to eventually get around to this one, its a classic so that means you can read it whenever and it will never go out of style right?

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K Rowling

Graceling by Kristin Cashore

I had slightly lost interest in this one, but it has recently been revived on the internet and so I still plan to get around to it sometime

Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

This was another series that came out during that after Twilight phase and I liked the first book at the time and thought the movie was okay. My parents bought me the whole series for a holiday and so I have kept them ( my parents rarely buy me books so I felt like I couldn’t get rid of them) I feel like it would still be fun to read them so maybe eventually

June TBR

Mortal Danger by Ann Aguirre

Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch

Adaptation by Malinda Lo

This is a book that became mine during me discovery of Bookoutlet. I didn’t know much about it at the time and then unhauled it. I know people really like this one so maybe I will try to listen to it on audiobook

One Realm Beyond by Donita K. Paul

I do not remember where this one came from, I think I received it for review, unsolicited. I unhauled it as I had so many more books I was more interested in.
