MAY 2014 TBR

Since I am finally done with school and graduated!!!! I am going to have a lot more free time for reading. As made evident by my April TBR I have a lot of trouble making decisions and staying with those I pick. With that being said this is only a rough lay out of what I would like to read. This is just my general May TBR and I will be making a separate TBR for the read-a-thon, Bout of Books 10 that I am participating in starting May 12th!

MAY TBR

1. Obsessed by Jo Gibson

( This is a e-Arc that I received from netgalley for an honest review. Its publication date is set for May 27th 2014. )

2. Curses and Smoke: A Novel of Pompeii by Vicky Alvear Shecter

(This is a e-Arc that I received from netgalley for an honest review. Its publication date is set for May 27th 2014)

3. The Girl From The Well by Rin Chupeco

(I started reading this at the end of March. I am over 70% done with this and really want to complete it. It has been one of those reads that I have kept picking up and putting down and I just need to finish it.This is a e-Arc that I received from netgalley for an honest review. Its publication date is set for August 5th 2014. )

4. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

(I own so many classic that I have never read. I have decided that I will start to read one a month. )

5. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K Rowling

(I know it is absolutely horrible that I have yet to read this series. I decided what better time than this summer to start. I think I will pace it out and try to read at least one a month. So now I guess I need to go out and buy the box-set!)

6. Graceling by Kristin Cashore

(I am need of some fantasy in my life! I have been nervous to start any with how much I have had going on, but now that my life has become a little less chaotic I figure now is the perfect time!)

7.Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

(This is a series I have started awhile ago and need to work on reading the rest. I am excited for the new spin- off series that is coming out called Dangerous Creatures!)

I think I will stop my list there and see how it ends up. I tried to pick books from categories that I have kind of prioritized in my head. I want to start reading more classics and books that I should have already read, but I want to take it slow. I also need a variety and these books are for sure a broad variety of genres. Let me know if you have read any of these or have any opinions/thoughts! What are you planning on reading in May?

  1. I’ve actually only read the first four books in the Harry potter series. I just got the other books for my birthday. I’ve read Geaceling, and I absolutely love that book. Kristin Cashore is amazing. And be patient with Beautiful Darkness. I, along with a lot of another people, thought the beginning was a bit slow, but after you really get into it, it’s awesome.
