Monthly Wrap Up | April 2014

So I was not able to stay on my book buying ban (I never thought I would be able to stay on it anyways) I was really surprised that I was able to read so many books due to the fact that I struggled really getting into some books and suffered from a book hangover. But here goes my April monthly wrap up, I did read 8 books this month! I posted earlier a picture of all the books I read which does not include the e-book I read. I read a total of 2.585 pages! and was able to finish my marathon read of the Vampire Academy this month!

The Books I read:

Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead

Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead

The Resurrectionist: The Lost Work of Dr. Spencer Black   by E.B Hudspeth

Catch a Falling Star by Christine M. Butler

Gated by Amy Christine Parker

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

We Are the Goldens by Dana Reinhardt

The Program by Suzanne Young

I have to say that my favorite book that I read this month was A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness.(I don’t think I could rave enough about this book!) I also really enjoyed Last Sacrifice, but was really sad to see the story end. (Just means I need to start Bloodlines soon!)

(I linked up the ones I have reviews for so go check them out! I just finished The program so the review is in the works. I thought it was a good book and gave it 4 stars.)

What did you read this month? Is there any books that I should read and review for May? What was your favorite book you read this month?

I am so looking forward to May and can’t wait for all the reading I will be able to get done now that school is done. I will be posting my TBR for May soon. I also can’t wait to participate in Bout of Books 10 that stars on May 12th! You should check it out and participate with me! I am just so ready to dedicate more time to reading and especially for summer.

What does your April monthly wrap up look like?

  1. The whole banning buying books wouldn’t work for me at all, although this month, it was mostly my mom and my sister buying me books for my birthday. I got 17 books between them, two from my sister’s boyfriend, and three from myself. So. . . yeah, I have a lot of books to read.

    1. Obviously the book buying bans don’t work to well for me either haha 🙂 There are just so many books that I want to read. Then someone starts raving about a book and I just have to buy it right away! But having them bought for you is always nice! You lucked out by receiving so many!
