Staycation TBR & Plans -

So I was suppose to be traveling home for one of my best friends wedding. But because of the current situation we are facing as a society has determined that will not be happening. I usually take a lot of my vacation time during the summer to travel home to see my family and visit friends. I had quite a few trips planned, visit family and friends in Michigan, going to my little cousins graduation in Minnesota and my aunt and uncles 50th wedding anniversary in New Mexico. Sadly all of those trips have been cancelled as well. I have a ton of vacation time to use so I do not lose it and figured I might as well keep the time I submitted for and make it a staycation!

I have many plans for my staycation that include reading, binge watching tv, yard work and home reno projects!

House Projects

My first goal as far as house projects go is to finish staining my front porch and side steps. I started these a couple weeks ago and then it rained so I didn’t get to finish. Another project I have been really wanting to get to since I bought my house in October is painting the kitchen cabinets! They are quite tall and is going to be a process but I think it will look so cute ! I still haven’t decided on bottom paint color, I want them to be two tone, so I need to do that as well. The last thing I am hoping to get around to is fixing my mulch around my flowers, trees and up my driveway. It is just looking a mess and I think once its fixed and updated will look so much better and my house wont look so dull.

I was able to finish Arctic Bite by N.J Walters today and hopefully will be able to finish listening to The Roanoke Girls by Amy Engel tonight as well. I am setting some pretty steep goals for myself and will probably end up just sleeping the whole week, but its the thought that counts right?

I am also hoping to take a ton of instagram pictures to have some ready to go as well as spend some time on my blog. I need to get better about working on post before the day I am wanting to post them. I have quite a few post ideas that I need to spend some quality time working on them.

Have you had a staycation during the pandemic? I know quite a few people are setting up camping inside, or doing projector movie nights. Trying to make the most out of this time stuck at home!
