Unhinged (#2 Splintered Trilogy)
Ensnared (#3 Splintered Trilogy)

An original ebook-only novella in the Splintered series, told from the points of view of both Jeb and Morpheus. Morpheus wants to know more about his rival for Alyssa’s affections, so he digs into Jeb’s memories of his time in Wonderland. But he may be surprised by what he finds.
This brand-new story and perspective from A.G. Howard’s dark, magical world stands alone, but also provides a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come in Unhinged, the sequel to Splintered.

*Warning this may contain spoilers for Splintered the first book in the Splintered Trilogy by A.G Howard*

The first thing I have to credit this novella for is not being a different pov on a scene that was writing already. That is one of the most annoying things about novellas. I was so happy that this novella delivered a scene from Morpheus in which we also get some of Jeb’s point of view and it is about information we were not really given in Splintered. It also gives some hints and sets up for some of Unhinged even though this is not a necessary read in order to read the following books in the series.

I enjoyed getting to see more of the two boys and get a little more information about what had happened between the two and what Jeb was doing while away from Alyssa in Splintered. I also feel like this give a little insight into the “bromance” and shows Morpheus taking the time to learn more about Jeb. The writing was well done and mirrored the writing style and whimsical feel that is found in the other books. I did find that it was a little short, but a great supplement to the series.
