Top Ten Tuesday | Top Authors I Have Only Read One Book From But NEED To Read More!

Untitled design-9
This weeks Top Ten Tuesday topic hosted by Broke and Bookish is Top Ten Authors I Have Only Read One Book From But NEED To Read More!!! I feel like I do this a lot, I read a book by an author and than go out and buy all of their books! So a lot of these authors I already own a ton of there published work if there is some, but I just haven’t gotten around to reading more yet and I tried to think of those that have more than one series/stand alone work. These are also in no particular order and sadly there is not 10 I had a really hard time finding ones that fit into this category.

Joe Abercrombie

I have read his most recent release, Half A King and absolutely loved it! He writes Fantasy and has another trilogy that is talked about quite a lot and I would really like to read those books as well!

Jennifer L. Armentrout

Technically I have read more than one book by her because I have also read a prequel and novella, but I am counting it as one book. I own at least 6 books right now by her and plan to own all of her books sometime soon. She has quickly become an auto-buy author for me. I really enjoy her writing, it is so youthful and fun!

Holly Black

I can’t believe I haven’t read more by Holly Black yet. I own the rest in the Modern Faerie trilogy and want to read them very soon. I have heard nothing but great things about her other works as well and I am really excited about The Iron Trials by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare.

Patrick Ness

There is a lot of love for Ness in the book community. I fell completely in love with his writing and story telling in A Monster Calls. I own the first book in the Chaos Walking trilogy and have had my eye on More Than This!

J.R.R Tolkien

I am embarrassed that I have only read The Hobbit.

Scott Lynch

Since I have only just started the second book I am counting this author. He is a mastermind with his world building and writing. I need to continue with this series because it is just too good and I feel like I just keep putting it off because I don’t want it to end and have to wait for the next book.

Stephen King

This is also quite embarrassing because I feel like I own quite a few of his books, but I think I have only read (cover to cover) one of his books. I have watch a few of the movies based off his books and need to read more because I really do love his writing.

Who are some of the authors you need to read more work from ?

  1. My husband loves Stephen King and his favourite books of his are The Stand and It (which I am not going to read as I am scared of clowns). I’ve read a few of his. I enjoyed Salem’s Lot. I am thinking of reading some of the novellas from Different Seasons as I find that he trails off a bit at the end of his books so maybe shorter stories and novels are the way forward.

  2. I am currently reading and working on a review of ” Forty One False Starts” I love Janet Malcolm and would like to read more. I won this book in the Goodreads Giveaway. Also anything by Nora Ephron and Joyce Carol Oates:)

  3. I need to read my first Stephen King book! I’ve never read one of his novels. How embarrassing.

I read Patrick Ness’s More Than This and really didn’t like it. I’ve heard some of his other books are better, though.
