This weeks Top Ten Tuesday topic hosted by Broke and Bookish is Top Ten Books I Struggled to Get Into But Ended Up Loving . I find this is usually the case with fantasies for me. The are so slow to start because of the world development and building and setting the stage, but then I get hooked and fall in love with the books. I could not come up with 10 though.
♦ City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett
♦ Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie
♦ The Seventh Friend by Tim Stead
♦ Half A King by Joe Abercrombie
What are some of the best books you have struggled to read, but ended up loving?

I’m glad that you ended up loving these ones. I do find fantasy quite hard to get into.
Thats the hardest thing for me about reading fantasy is the picking it up and getting started but I 90% also love them so I need to start convincing myself to pick up more.
I have the same issue, ChrissiReads. When I love a fantasy series (like Lord of the Rings), I really love it, but it takes me a lot of effort to get that genre in general.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Wow, new books for me to explore!!
