This weeks Top Ten Tuesday topic hosted by Broke and Bookish is The Top Ten Beach Reads for Non Contemporary Readers. I figured everyone does post for the summer about the top summery reads and they always contain contemporaries. I know for some contemporaries are not for everyone, even I have a hard time with them. So I wanted to make a post about some good engaging reads to take with you this summer that are “easier”reads then epic fantasies. I recently also post some top summery reads for Top 5 Wednesday.

Your list could be my list because I love so many books on it. Read The Raven Boys first so you can have the whole summer to finish the wonderful series. My Summerish TTT
I tend to stay away from epic fantasies in the summer too. Ohh The Handmaid’s Tale is a fab read. I need to read The Martian myself too sometime, I hear it’s hilarious.
I really love The Lunar Chronicles and ACOTAR, The Handmaid’s Tale is on my TBR already. Great list!

I’m still currently working my way through The Lunar Chronicles. I’m on Cress right now. I have ACOTAR on my TBR list too. I read The Martian and absolutely loved it! Great list!
