2019 Reading Goals| New Year Planning

Here goes year 5 doing this! I completed about half of my 2018 Bookish Bucket List last year and want to work pretty hard to be able to say at the end of the year I completed it!  And I set myself both blogging and reading goals this year instead of combining them into one list. I am really trying to challenge myself this year and really focus on being a blogger and a reader. If you would like to see what my goals are for blogging you can check them out here

♠ Read at least 50 books.
I think this is really achievable, but the ultimate goal is the need to raise my reading goals!

♠ Complete 10 Series.
I failed at this last year, but it is something I really want to focus on because I keep starting new series when I am in the middle of so many.

♠ Read at least 5 Non-Fiction/Classics
These intimidate me because sometimes they take longer to read/more focus, but I have so many sitting on my shelves

♠ Read at least 6 BIG books.  {I am counting this as over 500 pages.}
At least 1 every 2 months. My Big Book challenge will be posting on Saturday!
♠ Be more selective with ARCs
I want to be able to read and review all ARCs in a timely manner, within the month of publication. I want to make sure I do not request/accept those I do not have time for.
♠ Read 3 Buy 1 – Book Banning
I really want to knock down my 300 + TBR. So either I need to unhaul or read more before I can purchase more. This of course excludes gifted books.
♠ Read 12 E-Books
I have so many books on my kindle and I always forget I have them. Part of the reason I have them on my kindle is either they are an ARC or they were on sale. I need to make them a priority as well even though I struggle with reading on the kindle.

What are some of your 2019 reading goals/resolutions?

  1. Read 3 Buy 1 is a great idea! Books bans never work for me but this is something I could possibly get behind! My life’s been great since I started limiting myself to no more than 4 arcs per publication month, so good luck on that front as well!
