I am really excited to participate in this read-a-thon on October 18th! To learn more about the read-a-thon and to sign-up you can check out the video and post here! So far there are over 200 people signed up and you have until October 15th to sign up to participate! What is cooler than 24 hours dedicated to reading, which people from all over participate in! There are prizes and cheerleaders that cheer you on and encourage you throughout the 24 hours! It is such an awesome read-a-thon to participate in and really brings together the book community! Even if you don’t have the time to read that day you can sign up to be a cheerleader and cheer on those who are participating! So I hope everyone checks it out and let me know if you will be participating with me!
TBR
I do not have much of a set TBR for this read-a-thon since it is a 24 hour period. I feel like if I lock myself into a set book(s) it will slow down my reading and not allow me to accomplish as much as I could. There are a few books that are possibilities. I am currently listening to The Line by J.D. Horn on audiobook. There is only 4 hours left and since its only Wednesday I might be done with it by then and if thats the case I will start the next book The Source by J.D. Horn. As for actually reading it is a little hard because it is only Wednesday and I have 3 days of reading and I am not sure what book I will be reading. I would like to read Sanctum by Madeleine Roux and the novella The Scarlets by Madeleine Roux. Also if I don’t get to it I would like to reread The Fall of The House of Usher by Edgar Allen Poe so I can than read The Fall by Bethany Griffin.

GOALS
Wake up early since for me it starts at 8am and spend as much time as I can reading. I have a hard time staying focused . I spend a lot of time on my computer and phone that wastes valuable reading time.
Finish at least one book or 400 pages.
Post some updates via twitter.

Everything is simple. I am trying to be as low key as possible to not pressure myself. If you are participating in this read-a-thon let me know!

  1. Low key is the best way to go! Have fun with it. 🙂
I find myself distracted by my phone all the time when I’m reading. It’s a terrible habit I need to break!

  2. Good luck! I’m taking part too but will be on the road with work for a good chunk of my day. Luckily I don’t have to drive so I might find some audiobooks to keep me company. Can’t read while moving. Makes me sick…. 🙁
