December 2015 | Wrap-Up

DECSo its the end of 2015. I can’t believe the year is already done and over. I loved participating in #readwomen for december and loved seeing all the posts and updates from others. I would like to thank all of my followers and friends I have made this year in the book community. I love that even though I was disconnected from the book community I still felt the love and was welcomed back with open arms. I have learned so much and have gotten a greater passion and love for books and reading! So here is to an amazing 2016!

January Wrap-Up

DEC-2

I have had an amazing start to the new year. This has already been the best month on my blog since I have started it (stats-wise! So thank you everyone for looking at my crazy nonsensical blog) This month was packed full of stuff and I didnt realize just how much until I was making up this post. I spent a lot of time reading (more than I thought) and even more time preparing my blog for my small hiatus. Although I was trying to limit the books I read this month so I wouldn’t be starting a series I couldn’t continue while away, but I am really excited to get to some of my ebooks. Many I have gotten for my trip and haven’t allowed myself to read them yet. It should be an interesting next couple months and I really hope I will have time to read and find somewhere to work on my blog. (Thank goodness for the wordpress app!)FullSizeRender

♠ I am hoping to read at least 100 pages a day.

I finished two completely and I am about half way through two other books!

I tried to add quotes everyday on updates and share my thoughts on twitter and in comments.

I would say Bout of Books 12 was a awesome success for me!

November Wrap-Up

NOVWU

For the good part of the month I was in a reading/blogging slump. I blame the weather. I hate the cold and the snow and it makes me want to curl up in bed and watch netflix! There is a definite theme with the majority of the books I read this month. I can read through contemporary really fast so I kept picking them up to try and help me getting out of this slump. The problem is I really want to read fantasy it just takes a long time and its hard to keep myself awake and off netflix. I have been working through the same big fantasy novel all month. The first problem was I started it awhile ago and had to set it down so when I picked it up this month I had to reread it. I am so sad it is taking me this long because I really love it! I am also so behind on reviews and really need to catch up soon because the end of the year is coming which means it is going to be packed full!

Although I wasn’t able to read as much as I wanted to do to work and getting my wisdom teeth pulled out, I am incredibly proud of how much I got read and the Bout of Books experience overall this time around. I can not even believe how much I have appreciated all the comments and people stopping by on my blog and encouraging me via my blog and twitter! I am also especially in awe with the reactions and participation I got for the challenge I hosted. I am really happy that so many people enjoyed it and loved seeing everyones choices and the reasons behind the choices. My blog had some amazing traffic and all day I couldn’t stop smiling, I felt more accomplished with the success of my challenge than the reading I did this week! Now to go and write all those reviews!

The two week long Dusting off the Shelf Read-a-thon has come to an end. This was the best I have done on a read-a-thon! I was able to complete 8 books (7 physical, 1 e-book). I also was able to pretty much complete all the challenges! I just can’t believe that in a two week period I was able to complete as many books as I was averaging for the past few months. This month is shaping up to be my best reading month and starting the 18th I will be participating in the Bout of Books Read-a-thon. Let me know how you did if you participated in this read-a-thon and if you will be participating in the Bout of Books! Now I have to go write a bunch of reviews.

Hi Mad Bookers! As you can see I have recently been updating and giving my blog a makeover (I have been trying to gear it more towards the Alice in Wonderland theme!) A lot has been happening this past month down the Book Hole! This post is kind of long (so grab some tea and cake and stick with me). It has a lot of information and will also include some events that will be coming up in the next month!

I read a total of 8 books and managed to actually follow my TBR List better than I have in the past!
