Fierce Female Reads Recommendations From The Book Community

One of my favorite parts to being a member of the online book community is all of the book recommendations. I have been able to discover some amazing books and books that quickly became my favorites due to recs from other book lovers. I thought that it was only right to include recommendations from others as it would make a more diverse reading list than if it just came from me. I asked twitter a couple weeks ago about what some of their favorite fierce female reads are and why.

The first who came to mind, is Donatella from Legendary by Stephanie Garber. I adore her rash, yet clever nature! Her constant sass is another delight, and her self-less desire to save her mother is so heartwarming!

Rhiannon from In Bloom by CJ Skuse !! I just want to read about her life everyday! Such a witty character too.

For nonfiction, I vote for Tara Westover who wrote Educated. She was raised in a survivalist, abusive family in Idaho, but went on to earn a PhD from Cambridge. Her ability to reflect on and view her family with objectivity after such an insular childhood was astounding.
