Friday Reads | Life Interferences and Fall Reading

downthebookhole
I do not know what has been up with me lately, but I haven’t read much this past week. I want to read a lot this weekend. I am not sure if that is going to happen because I have a lot of things to do and need to get myself back to the gym because I have not had time to go all week. I started Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman. I received this book soon after it was published and I do not know why I have waited so long to pick it up. Besides having a  gorgeous cover, the fact that it is a western young adult novel has me so intrigued. It is also on my list of books I wanted to read this fall!  I also started listening to The Nest by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney. I am not too sure on the details of what this is about, but I have heard good things about it and I am trying to incorporate more adult fiction into my reading. I have found that it is so much easier for me to listen to contemporary and historical fiction novels because there is not as much going on. I attempted to start listening to The Bone Witch by Ren Chupeco, but there was just too much going on that I was not totally focused. Well I am hoping to get lots of reading done this weekend, along with laundry, cleaning and making it to the gym! Wish me luck!

What are you reading this weekend?

Friday Reads | Rainy Weekend Edition

All it has done all week long is rained. It looks like its going to be raining and storming all weekend long as well. The perfect solution to a rainy weekend is curling up and reading a good book, snuggling with the kittens and drinking some coffee. I’ve been fighting a pretty severe headache the past couple of […]
