2017 Bookish Bucket List | May Update

2017
I have done this now for the past three years and have been decently successful with it.. This year I have set a lot of goals for myself and really want to throw myself back into the book community and blogging world. The past year off has left me wanting so much from books because I have missed the atmosphere and love of books.
♠ Read at least 100 books. I have a challenge I have created for myself and its the year I take on some completed series. [ I have just started reading again after taking some personal time. I am really far behind on my reading but I am trying not to be hard on myself. I have completed books 14 so far]
♠ Read and Complete 6 Series. This goes along with the challenge I have am creating. There are so many out that I have yet to pick up and its crazy. [I have completed one series so far this year out of the millions I want to complete check it out at series serial reader! There are a few I have made progress on. ]
♠ Read at least three daunting books. This is a repeat from last year.I feel like I am always so intrigued and interested in the huge books, but never get around to reading them because they are intimidating. (I am counting this as over 500 pages.) [I have not gotten there yet, but I have gotten close with a few, but definitely plan to tackle one in June.]
♠ Read 45 books from my TBR. I just recently moved and don’t have my books. I have been going to the library and with that it give way to an endless array of books. I really want to make sure I am still reading books that I had actually purchased. [I have been able to read 8 books from my TBR so far!]
♠ Read at least 5 Non-Fiction Books. I started doing this last year and really enjoyed it. I love learning more and I have a lot I am interested in. [I have a whole long list of non-fiction books I want to complete this year (If this list is something people would like to see I will post it!) I have been able to complete 1 so far and it was amazing!]
♠ Start New Blog Series. I really want to work harder on developing my blog. There are many things I participate in that are created by other bloggers and I really want to come up with something that is completely my own and get others involved in! [I have a couple different things in the works, but haven’t gotten around to it yet since I took a break!]

What are some of your 2017 goals/resolutions?

Series Serial Reader| May Update

ABOUT The past couple of years my life has taken me all over the country doing a variety of different things, but it has kept me from reading. Especially reading all the books that have been coming out and catching up on series I have started. I decided that I wanted to make this a year revolving mainly […]

May 2017 Reads | First Lines

I decided that it would be fun to start a new feature to add the the wrap up of books I read every month. For me most of the time I pick up and look at books in the store it is the first lines that capture my attention and draw me in. It has always been intriguing to me […]

Non-Fiction Books I Want To Read

Lately I have really been branching out on what I read and have developed more interests for a variety of books. Top Summery Reads

Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey from gingerreadslainey (YouTube, Goodreads) and if you would like to join, here is the link for the Goodreads group with all the information. This was tough because I am not big on contemporary books and those are what seem to be most summery type. Like there are not really summery paranormals […]

Top Ten Tuesday| Top Moms in Literature

This weeks Top Ten Tuesday topic hosted by Broke and Bookish is Mother’s Day Freebie. I decided that I would go with the top moms in literature. I do not have many that I could think of. It seems that so much of YA literature doesn’t include parents, which is weird when you think about it. All of […]
